Encouraging scientific exploration and discovery
Contest Support provided by UT Tyler School of Education & Psychology
There are 4 Divisions:
  • Class Display Projects - for Kindergarten, 1st Grade and 2nd Grade classes
  • Scientific Drawings and Illustrations (NEW) - for grades 3 through 12 in three levels - Elementary, Middle School, and High School
  • Scientific Experimentation - for grades 3 through 12 in three levels - Elementary, Middle School and High School
  • Scientific Models and Demonstrations (NEW) - for grades 3 through 12 in three levels - Elementary, Middle School, and High School
Awards:
  • All students who do not place receive a participation ribbon.
  • Class Display Projects receive a participation ribbon for each student and a certificate for the class to display.
  • Scientific Drawings and Illustrations have 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in each level. Winners receive a medallion. Elementary winners receive a cash award of $25.00, $15.00 or $10.00. Middle School and High School winners are eligible to apply for Academic Rodeo Scholarships.
  • Scientific Experimentation projects have 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in each category of each level.Winners receive a medallion. Elementary winners receive a cash award of $25.00, $15.00 or $10.00. Middle School and High School winners are eligible to apply for Academic Rodeo Scholarships.
  • Scientific Models and Demonstrations have 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in each level. Winners receive a medallion. Elementary winners receive a cash award of $25.00, $15.00 or $10.00. Middle School and High School winners are eligible to apply for Academic Rodeo Scholarships.
