Quiz Bowl in Middle School and High School Levels

Contest Support provided by Individual Volunteers
Academic Challenge Quiz is an exciting, fast-paced contest in a quiz bowl format.
The Middle School Tournament for students in grades 6th through 8th is a double-elimination format which highlights the knowledge and thinking skills of middle school students.
The High School Tournament is a single-elimination format with first round matches occurring in November and remaining matches occurring January.
Questions for both levels are of a general academic mix of the following categories:
Current Events
English and Literature
Fine Arts
Geography
History and Social Science
Language and Vocabulary
Mathematics
Potpourri
Science

  4. Brain Quest Kits covering general curriculum questions for 6th & 7th grades

Awards:
  • Students from teams which do not place receive a
    participation certificate.
  • 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places are awarded in the tournament. Members of placing teams receive
    a place ribbon and the team receives a trophy.
    Members of placing teams are also eligible to apply for Academic Rodeo Scholarships.
