Academic Rodeo Awards

           

Academic Rodeo presents a variety of awards and recognitions to winners and participants each year.  Approximately 300 of these students are recognized at the Awards Celebration each year for their accomplishments.

Monetary Awards:

Elementary Level (Grades Kindergarten through 5):

Each 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner is presented a cash award or gift card in the amount of $25, $15, and $10 respectively.  These will be presented at the Awards Celebration.

Middle School Level (Grades 6 through 8):

Each 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner is eligible to apply for a Middle School Scholarship in the current year.  See Middle School Scholarship Program for guidelines for application and selection.

High School Level (Grades 9 through 12):

Each 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner is eligible to apply for a Middle School Scholarship in the current year.  See High School Scholarship Program for guidelines for application and selection.

Medallions:

1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medallions will be presented to those winners in Art Contest, Computer Science Fair, General Agriculture Identification Contest, Kinder Critters Contest, Mathletic Team Individual High Scorers, One-Act Play Festival Outstanding Performer, Science Fair, Spelling Bee, Writing Contest, and Youth Fashion Show overall winners.

Trophies:

Team trophies are presented to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place schools in the Academic Challenge Quiz, Engineering Challenge, High School Pentathlon, Mathletic Team Contest, and Mindset Breaking Experience.

Acrylic Awards:

Each One-Act Play school will receive an acrylic award acknowledging the rating of their performance in the Festival.

Ribbons:

  • 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place ribbons are presented to team members from the winning teams in Academic Challenge Quiz, Engineering Challenge, High School Pentathlon, Mathletic Team Contest, and Mindset Breaking Experience.
  • 1st, 2nd and 3rd place ribbons are presented to category winners in the Youth Fashion Show.
  • Up to three Honorable Mention Ribbons are presented in the Kinder Critters Contest and in each grade level of the Art Contest.
  • Up to ten All Star Cast ribbons are presented to selected individuals in the One-Act Play Festival.
  • Participation ribbons are presented to non-placing students in Art Contest, Computer Science Fair, General Agriculture Identification Contest, Kinder Critters Contest, Science Fair, Spelling Bee, Writing Contest, and Youth Fashion Show.

Certificates:

Certificates of Recognition are presented to each cast member in the One-Act Play Festival and to members of non-placing teams in Academic Challenge Quiz, Engineering Challenge, Mathletic Team Contest, Math Pentathlon, and Mindset Breaking Experience. Special recognition certificates are awarded in the Engineering Challenge and may be awarded in other contests as deemed appropriate by the judges for outstanding or unique work.
