Contest Rules

  • Each school may enter a 2-person team of administrators to compete as a unit.  Click here to see if your school is registered.
  • Up to 12 schools may participate. A minimum of four schools is needed to conduct the contest. 
  • The schools participating will be determined by order of registration.
  • The contest will follow a modified version of the traditional Academic Challenge Quiz.
    • 1st Quarter Round - Each school will have an opportunity to answer a set of 5 questions. Order of schools will be determined by a random draw. Each question in each set will have a value of 10 points.
    • 2nd Quarter Round - The round will consist or 8 sets of 3 questions. A toss-up question will determine which school will have the opportunity to answer each set of questions. Each question in each set will have a value of 10 points. Questions will not be repeated.
    • 3rd Quarter Round - Any participant may attempt to answer any question from the set of 20. Questions will have a value of 20 points.
    • 4th Quarter Round - This round will consist of short sets of rapid-fire questions requiring quick responses. A toss-up question will be asked to determine which school wins the right to answer each set of questions. Questions will be in 6 sets of 11 questions. A 20-point bonus will be awarded if all questions in a set are answered correctly.
