Rules:
- Eligibility:
- Each FFA Chapter and organized 4-H Club
can enter one team per Chapter or 4-H Club
plus one team for each Agricultural Science Teacher or
4-H leader.
- Teams shall
consist of four (4) persons who are members of the same
Chapter or Club. from
other Chapters or Clubs are allowed.
Team score will be derived from three high individual scores
on each team. To be eligible, team members must be
enrolled in school, below college level, and be a member
of the Chapter or Club they represent.
- There will be no
entry fees, but the team coach should notify by mail
the , of teams intention to enter the
contest.
- Twenty-five (25) plants for the contest will be selected
from the plant list of 50 plants shown. If additional information
is needed, please contact the East Texas State Fair Association

- Contestants will be given score cards and will have
one (1) minute to identify, write-in the common name, and
check the characteristics of each of the plants in the contest.
Scoring will be by points. , no
credit will be given . Plants
used may be mounted or live specimens, or a combination of
the two. In the event of a tie, judges will decide who shall
receive the award and their decision will be final.
